Equiculture at Anam Cara Farm

We currently provide sanctuary to fifteen draft horses, four cows, and two ponies.

We are in the process of designing and building a paradise paddock, a design learned with Jamie Jackson's work on creating pastures that reflect how horses roam and graze in the wild.

We have a lot to do and it will take potentially a few years. In the past 2 years we have discovered we have a lot of unforeseen issues with the water tables on the land that will need more sophisticated designing.  We also will be planning on building our circular barn. These specially designed plans will take time and a lot of hard work. We are committed to it. We are looking forward to having much better years ahead. ​​
