Glenn & James Battin

Glenn spent his early wonder years in New Jersey. His mother tells stories of how the school would call her complaining that he was constantly late to class. He would report to his mother how many squirrels he saw or every newly discovered grove or birds nest that he would find on his daily walk to school.

He later would join the Cub Scouts and go on to the Boy Scouts and Explorers, deepening his love and understanding of nature and how to live in it. Later in High School & early College years he would spend his summers working as a counselor at Boy Scout camp as the advanced skills campmaster where he took scout troops on high adventure backpacking week long trips and teaching a depth of scout craft and nature skills.

At college in Tuscon at the University of Arizona he majored in Psycology and minored in Speech Communication and Sociology. After graduating he worked with developmentally disabled people. Soon Glenn would need to seek higher paying jobs in order to raise his growing family. He worked for over 20 years with telecom and computer technology and distribution services.

Glenn met his mentor Ed Willman in 1987, and began his work with Organics. Ed Willman dedicated his life to developing formulas for the healing the soil naturally. With the vision of restoring even severely polluted soil to pristine fertility "as in the Garden Of Eden". FeedBack Liquid Compost brings that foundation.

Glenn describes Ed as a deeply spiritual, humble and kind man. He was Christian with a deep love of Nature. Glenn started a company where he sold Ed's products and applied them.

Glenn fondly remembers his first notable client contract. He was asked to treat the Heckshire Ballfields in Central Park, NYC. He proudly remembers looking up at all the tall buildings and feeling inspired by the fact that he was standing in the midst of the financial power of the world and that he was making a difference with organics, which would grow around the world.

Ed introduced Glenn to the Nature Lyceum and Jeff Frank. Glenn is now an instructor there, he teaches Cation Exchange Capacity, or C.E.C. of the soil and Soil Conditioning and the 7 Keys to Soil Health.

Thanks in part to his love of the subject and his love of people and his degree in communications he is able to make something seemingly complicated very very simple and understandable. When there is time and he is allowed he also loves teaching about paramagnetic rock dust and soil micro-biology.

When Ed passed in 2002, Glenn continued on bringing these products and others to the market thru his own company Mother Earth Organics. Now Glenn runs his company with his son James, who graduted this year from University of Vermont with a degree in Soil Science.  James shares his dads love of the earth and has been alongside his father from the beginning.

Glenn's son James is also a Green Guerilla as well as Mother Earth Organics, Managing Director.

Glenn's motto or words of wisdom that he would like to share is that "It is time for a new Paradigm, one where we stop competing and start co-operating"

Glenn is available for workshops, consultatations and any questions concerning how to go about Healing the Soil!!
