Recently I was walking down a road near my home. I came across a cemetary that was established in 1777. There are 13 revolutionary soilders buried there! After spending the past year and half learning this part of our history, I understand the significance of that. In April 1777 we were still in the darkest hours of that war. One that seemed impossible to win. Our young men...the majority of which were under the age of 18....had taken on the Greatest Empire on Earth. That had never been done before. No colony had EVER stood up to England. It would take 6 and a half more endless years to finally sign the Treaty of Paris in 1783, and establish America as Independant. This land is rich with History and Glory and it is the fertile ground for countless dreams and visions.I mention this because in order for us to go forward we have learn from our past, and that means honoring the courage it took to stand up for ideals so lofty no man made power on Earth could keep them down. We need to stand up to harming the Earth, in that same spirit, for the sake of our children, and their children, and for the sake of our ancestors, of all the races of man.
Have a Happy April and enjoy yourselves!
If you have something to share please do! Sincerely,
|
