Anyone that has eaten really fresh produce knows that a garden that produces food is worth the effort. You may require only a small vegetable garden or a more substantial area to produce enough food so that you will have enough to freeze or store for later consumption.
You need to consider a lot of factors in planning a vegetable garden or caring for one. You need to choose the vegetables that you like best, and grow according to what you know you will use. The climate will determine a lot about what vegetables you grow. Various aspects of climate, such as average high and low temperatures, frostfree periods, and rainfall, can influence your choice of crops. An awareness of microclimates will help you choose the best places on your land to grow different crops.
Topography, exposure and soil are other factors to consider when planning your garden. Hilltops, slopes, and valleys all have their unique advantages and disadvantages for gardening. The amount of sunlight a site receives will determine which vegetables you can grow there, so you'll need to keep that in mind when choosing a spot. Most importantly you will need to know your soil. Healthy soil equals healthy plants.
On this page we will explore all of these issues. Site Selection, Light, Moisture, Soil, Topography, Obstacles and Access, and Time.
Having a successful, healthy, producing garden can be one of the most satisfying things we can do in our lifetimes.
We could end up depending on our gardens for many different reasons.
Below are the products I have available now. I will adding more in the coming months, but these will heal your soil and bring it to the pristine fertility necessary for organic and delicious food for you and your family.
