A lush, velvety green lawn can be a great addition to your home, but it  can also become an obsession that dominates your week-ends and empties your pocketbook. Taking into account the cost of mowers, trimmers, waterers, aerators, dethatchers, spreaders, grass seed and plants, fertilizer, lime, weed killers, pest controls, and labor, Americans spend more money on lawns each year than the gross national product of many countries.
There is also a huge impact on the impact on the environment. We will explore that here, in this section. The negative impact the poisons we  are using on our lawns is stunning and scary.
